One of the outstanding events of the last year was the official visit of President of Tajik Railways, SUE to Kazakhstan.

The main goal of his visit was a discussion on the purchase of TE33A locomotives.

First, representatives of the Tajik delegation headed by Mr. Hokumatullo Amanullo visited the South capital of the Republic, where at Almaty depot they were able to see the locomotive of Kazakhstan production in operation, as well as to become personally certain that Evolution confirms all specifications stated by the manufacturer.

Next per the program of visits the guests arrived to Astana, where they visited Lokomotiv Kurastyru Zauyty, JSC.

- I travel abroad very often, and have seen a great number of different plants in our industry. But, frankly, I have met such a modern plant nowhere in the former Soviet Union. Such advanced equipment and technology can only be met in Europe or the States. - Mr. Hukumatullo passed his opinion thereon.

In the course of meetings with Mr. Askar Mamin, President of NC Kazakstan Temir Zholy, JSC, the presidents of two railway administrations reached an agreement on purchasing six Kazakhstan locomotives under auspices of the financial institutions in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.

The result of executed work was the signing of the LKZ first export contract for supplying six TE33A locomotives to Tajikistan. This contract was signed on November 1 in Dushanbe city, the capital of Tajikistan. Manufacture of locomotives for Tajik Railways has been started in December, 2011 and is to be finished in the first quarter of this year.
